New York West AGM Full Of Valuable Contributions
Impressive achievements were on display Saturday night in Rochester at the 2013 New York State West Youth Soccer AGM.
After the Annual General Meeting earlier in the afternoon, the Awards Dinner brought together a sold-out crowd of 150+ to recognize the achievements of players, coaches, referees, and administrators.
Demosphere Administrator of the Year
For the first time, Demosphere sponsored the Administrator of the Year Award. In addition to the recognition, the winning administrator’s club received a grant to further the club’s objectives.
This year, the deserving winner was Tom D’Arpino of United FC in Binghamton. Tom has been involved with youth soccer for over 20 years and is involved for the right reasons.
He has contributed at all levels including coaching, managing, and administering and currently holds the title of President. His fundraising efforts are unmatched and while he doesn’t enjoy the spotlight, he deserved recognition for his outstanding contributions.
Well done, Tom!
Hall of Fame – Tim Mellander
At the end of the evening, a special ceremony was held to induct Tim Mellander into the New York State West Youth Soccer Hall of Fame.
Tim currently serves as Assistant Director for the State Association and has been involved with the registration process for over 20 years.
He has worked at all levels of youth soccer – beginning as club administrator and gradually working his way up to state office, regional office, an finally national office.
Demosphere has worked closely with Tim for over 10 years to develop and enhance RosterPro™, a web-based system for member clubs to submit registration data to their state association.
The system has revolutionized the registration process in New York West and other states around the country – much of it thanks to Tim’s insight and expertise.
Congrats, Tim!
Congratulations to all the winners – it was an excellent year for soccer in New York West!
