Youth Soccer in Action: ECNL Boys Showcase South Carolina 2023

Earlier this month, Demosphere President, Kris Baker, attended the ECNL Boys Showcase event in South Carolina. The event was held on December 1-3, 2023 at three soccer complexes in the Greenville, SC area.

About the Showcase

The ECNL Boys Showcase brought together youth soccer players and teams across the U15-U18/U19 age groups. This high-level competition allowed these aspiring young athletes to demonstrate their skills in front of countless college recruiters.

While this event was a great opportunity for the players, the showcase was also influential for the scouts. The extraordinary skillsets of these players left the recruiters with plenty to consider as they look to fill their open roster spots over the next year.

On-Site Experience

In the end, over 500 college coaches and more than 225 teams were in attendance. Despite the rainy weather, the event was a huge success!

From the coaches to the players, the ECNL curated an exceptional onsite experience for all participants. The ECNL team captured numerous high-quality photos and videos, all available for viewing on their Instagram page.

Off-Site Experience

All of the action and excitement did not end on the soccer fields.

Several participating teams attended the lively nearby NCAA Elite Eight college game featuring Clemson versus Stanford. With an electric, sold-out crowd, Clemson, the hometown favorite, was victorious with a 2-0 win. It was an incredible experience for everyone who attended!

This event truly lived up to ECNL’s mission to ‘“Raise the Game” by elevating standards and experience in all aspects of youth soccer.’ We were delighted to be part of this showcase with organizations that continue to push for enhancements of youth sports programs!
