Coach Moussa Trarore Wins 2021 National Coaches Day Nominations

It has been a difficult year for youth sports organizations, especially the wonderful coaches that had to navigate returning to play during the pandemic. To celebrate this year’s National Coaches Day, we asked our community of Associations, sports leagues, coaches, and parents to nominate a coach they think deserves the spotlight for their tireless efforts.

Today, we announced youth coach Moussa Traore as our winner! Out of over 200 submissions, Traore’s was nominated the most for his coaching with LFC International Academy Massachusetts and Swansea Somerset Youth Soccer League. He will be awarded a $350 gift card and some Demosphere swag.

Traore was heralded by parents and colleagues for his dedication, passion, and excitement for coaching. Most of all, he is recognized for the clear growth seen in the players on his youth teams as both athletes and people.

When asked why he coaches, Traore stated, “I’m a coach because of the kids and the passion I have for the game. There is no other feeling quite like helping young athletes develop their natural persistence, determination, discipline, dedication, work ethic, leadership skills, and respect for others, not only in competition/soccer but in life!”

Congratulations to Moussa Traore, and thank you for all that you do for youth sports!
