Tournament Partners with City Year

City YearMany youth sporting events are partnering with local nonprofits seeking to give back to the community. Such is the case in McLean, VA, where McLean Youth Soccer has partnered with City Year for their upcoming tournament.

As part of the Kids Helping Kids campaign, McLean Youth Soccer girls and boys age 9-12 will aim to collect school supplies to be donated to City Year, a nationwide, education-focused nonprofit.

Other Tournament Partnerships

Through the years, we’ve seen other similar partnerships with other youth-focused nonprofits as well as local organizations like Parks Departments for the development & maintenance of recreation facilities.

In some cases, visiting teams elect to attend specific events because of their mission to give back.

How About Your Event?

Does your event partner with a nonprofit? If so, who? Have you found it to be a beneficial partnership?
