New WebWriter Feature: Field Status
|
 Tired of making phone calls to teams letting them know that their field is closed?
Now you can control what fields are open/closed, and post this information on your website allowing teams, families, and friends to check field staus. Add your fields into the system, select which fields are closed, and have your homepage update automatically with changes.

New Staff Members - Frank Stewart and Kathleen O'Malley

 Demosphere is pleased to announce two new additions to the Demosphere Family!
Frank Stewart (left), Demosphere's Senior Designer, graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in History. From his experience working in design for Conservation International and Ruckus, he will be a valued addition to Demosphere's Graphic Design team.
Kathleen O'Malley (right), Demosphere's new Office Manager, graduated from Longwood College with a Marketing degree. Kathleen has experience with office management, sales management and reporting, and has been in the banking industry for the last four years. Kathleen will be utilizing her banking and management skills to assist with the office management and accounting at Demosphere.

Demosphere Ventures to UK for Second Straight Year!
|
 From May 29 to June 2, Vice President Carol Baker and Marketing Director Sean Rose traveled across the pond to Birmingham, England for Grass Roots Football Live 2008.
In its third year14,000 attendees came to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham for clinics, information sessions, and all things football!
Carol and Sean met many delegates over the weekend including Glasgow City Cup head Jim Smith along with some representatives of the FA.

For the Good of the Game

 While attending the recent Grass Roots Football LIVE in Birmingham (UK), Demosphere learned of a worthy program using the beautiful game to give back to the community.
This July, CLIC Sargent hosts the annual Legends Charity Cup 5-a-Side Football Tournament to 'Kick for Children with Cancer.' Entered teams have the opportunity to play against the soccer Legends team, five players who all have caps with the England team. "Fancy your team has what it takes?" There's one way to find out: register to play, helping to raise donations to sponsor your team for a good cause. Rumor has it a team from New Jersey will be attending this year. Perhaps your team should apply next year!
No visit to another country would be complete if we did not meet up with our ever-traveling friend, Nick Gates of Coaches Across Continents. He was able to sit down with us and share some great stories; he's off next to South Africa, with a group of young people from California who have raised funds to build a sustainable field. Now there's a better way! When looking at any schedule page (in admin mode) you can click the link Edit All Teams to modify all teams in every game at the same time.
