Join the Demosphere Tournament Network!
|
Over the past month, Tournament Administrators may have noticed a new feature in the Team Application Manager.
The Demosphere Tournament Network is a new avenue for promoting your Demosphere-powered ClubSite™ tournament to others in the soccer community.
To be listed in the Network, you must first opt-in and then list your tournament's start and end dates as well as your application deadline. You may also list a specific tournament website address.
Once listed, your tournament will appear in a directory of all Demosphere tournaments in the following locations:
- On our website
- In a link distributed with every issue of ExtraTime
- Within Team Application Manager
- Administratively for teams modifying their team roster page (Coming soon!)

New Text Editor to be Released Jan 15th!
|
Demosphere is pleased to announce the release of a new text editor to enhance your administrative experience with our products! This new editor will be turned on for ALL customers effective January 15th. Please feel free to browse our Knowledge Base (accessed from your admin home page) for tips on using this new feature. Additionally our support team has created some help videos to walk through some of the key new features including an easy to use new file upload feature! Please contact our support team for any questions related to the new text editor.

Demosphere Powers USL Super-Y Registration
|
 Beginning with the upcoming 2009 season, Demosphere will provide a new Online Registration system for USL's Super-Y League, an elite national league featuring over 600 teams in the U.S. and Canada. Affiliated with U.S. Soccer, the league is designed for talented youth players destined for professional or international careers.
"This more streamlined and integrated design will expedite the management of player data and significantly enhances our ability to service clubs," said Jeff McRaney, USL Senior Director of Youth League Development.
Demosphere is currently a USL partner and provides website, registration, and scheduling services for all of USL's professional, amateur, and youth leagues. To learn more about USL, visit their website at www.USLSoccer.com.

NYSWYSA Workshop & Awards Dinner
|
 Demosphere was on hand for New York State West Youth Soccer Association's annual coaches workshop and awards dinner held November 15 in Rochester. The day-long workshop, held at a spacious indoor facility, was teaming with players and activities throughout the day including field sessions, such as 'quality passing,' 'fast-break attacking,' and 'small-group defending,' classroom sessions, and the annual Doug May 3v3 Festival.
That evening awards were given out in front of a filled-to-capacity crowd of soccer enthusiasts. Three players with New York West ties, Dema Kovalenko, Jeff Knittel, and Brian Bliss, were inducted into the state's Hall of Fame. Bliss started as a youth player in Webster Soccer Association and ended up with 44 caps for the US National team.

With Fall behind us, it's time to look forward to some rest in December before our travel season picks up in January. Look for quite a few events as we enter 2009! 
- Dec. 7-8: U.S. Soccer Development Academy Showcase (Lancaster, CA)
Just before Thanksgiving, COO Ben Jones and Marketing Director Sean Rose traveled to Tampa, FL for the USL SoccerFest, the annual meeting of United Soccer Leagues (www.USLSoccer.com) and its member organizations. It's also the home of the Super-Y North American Finals.
Ben and Sean met with many current customers, including David Sabir of Bermuda FA. Hear what he had to say on our News page.

Adjusting the Home Page Time Frame of Calendar Events
You can adjust how long you would like calendar events to show up on your home page. From Admin Home click on Calendar then "Modify Calendar Settings". You can then modify the number of days to show future calendar events on the home page.
