FYSA Workshop
Last weekend, Vice President Carol Baker and Account Manager Kristin Donlin had the pleasure to travel to Orlando, FL for the annual Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) AGM and Workshop.

In addition to hosting a successful weekend, FYSA recently unveiled a redesigned website. The site is FYSA's official home on the web and offers information geared towards players, coaches, and administrators. Visit the  FYSA website at www.FYSA.com.

Though the weather proved to be stormy at times, hundreds of league and state officials, coaches, and volunteers attended the event. Not only did Demosphere have the opportunity to meet many new faces, but it is always a pleasure to meet our existing clients who stop by!
USASA National Cup Finals Recap
Last weekend, Marketing Director Sean Rose traveled to Seattle, WA for the conclusion of the USASA National Cup Finals. The event culminates months of qualifying across all four Regions and crowns National Champions in eight divisions.

For the third straight year, Sean audiocasted two of the games through USASA.com. Over 300 listeners tuned in to hear Real Colorado defeat JB Marine 1-0 in the Women's U-23 Final and Kickers (pictured above) defeat the Baltimore Colts 3-1 in the Men's Amateur Final.

For the Good of the Game
How Did You Spend Your Vacation this Summer?

Getting away from the office for a week-long vacation is always a good thing for the mind, body and soul, but when you spend your holiday away from work doing something For the Good of the Game it can be even more gratifying and rewarding.

Ben Jones, Demosphere's Chief Operations Officer, is also a Emeritus National Referee and State Assessor. This summer, Ben was Director of the PRIDE Academy (PRIDE for Professional, Referee, Instruction, Development, Education) and spent his vacation week alongside other professional referees instructing and mentoring 21 youth referees from Virginia and North Carolina, male and female, ages 13-18, through every aspect of the game.

At a four-day residential academy held in July on the University of Richmond (VA) campus, the youth referees completed a 60 hour program which included high-level instruction, fitness exercises, and refereeing real matches by participating in games and drills that were part of University of Richmond's boys soccer camp. Several of the young referees also had the opportunity to referee matches between camp all-stars and the University of Richmond Men's soccer team.

The volume, speed and sophistication of today's attacks are unprecedented. And this is expected to continue-as spammers face more restrictive spam filters, they are developing never-before-seen methods to try to bypass them.

Issuing Refunds

Club members often ask why a refund hasn't appeared on their credit card statement. Two common reasons are: the member is confused regarding which credit card they originally used or the bank is holding the refund. Refunds are submitted to the credit card processor with a delay of no more than 24 hours and to the credit card company right away. Most credit card companies issue the refund within a few days, however credit card companies by law have up to 30 days to issue a credit.
