During the session, we discussed ways to save time before the tournament, during the tournament, and after the tournament.

• Pre-Tournament: This will be your most relaxed time when you can think clearly about your tournament objectives. If you have used Demosphere before, you can clone items from last year including applications and some scheduling items. You can also pre-write some mass emails focusing on procedural reminders, waiting list updates, and potential schedule changes. Remember, people before you have done this, so if you're unsure of anything, lean on the experience so you're not repeating extra work that can be avoided. Additionally, website FAQ sections can definitely help.
• During the Tournament: This is when your practice and preparation payoff. Take careful notes on what's happening so you can act on them later - not necessarily for this event - more so for future events. Also, take advantage of PhoneItIn™ for score reporting.
• Post-Tournament: This is usually the biggest missed opportunity - there's tons of data available, both from notes you took and feedback from attendees. Take advantage of this information to assist with your next event!
