Northway Baptist Church organizes Upward Sports Leagues for basketball, flag football, and cheerleading. This inclusive, developmental program sees about 225 kids participate in the football/cheerleading season. The program had been running successfully, however registration took a lot of time to complete and process. Paper forms were filled out, checks and cash were handled, and all had to be sorted and processed over various evenings in order for a season to start successfully. Administrators knew there was an easier, more efficient way.
While attending training in Dallas, Jeff Owens, Upward administrator, became aware of Demosphere's Online Registration System. It was believed that by using an online system, registration could be a quick and easy process for everyone involved. After implementing the system, Northway has seen for itself the benefits of online registration. Owens says that the online registration process is more streamlined, saves time for families that fill out one form for multiple kids, and has eliminated the need for volunteers to give up their evenings to administer data.
Owens says he receives plenty of positive feedback, “Parents are pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to complete. They love it.” The program has also seen an increase in monetary donations and volunteers. Previously, parents were unaware that donations were needed and/or accepted by the program, but with the option to donate now included in the registration form, Northway’s program went from zero dollars in donations to two hundred dollars in a recent season. It is now easier to find volunteers as well. Before, administrators would have to beg parents to volunteer their time and they had to shuffle through paperwork to find contact information. Now, with a section of the online form dedicated to asking for coaches, referees, and concessions volunteers in advance, there is no more last minute begging.
“ It has been excellent overall. We love the online registration. I have also been very pleased with the customer support, it has been wonderful," Owens said of his overall Demosphere experience.
